The landscape was designed to feel like the endemic surrounding landscape of the Blue Mountains; pulling into the envelope of the new and existing building a scheme by balancing a cold-climate native palette with existing exotic trees retained on site. The geometry of the concrete and terrazzo courtyard is offset by seasonally changing plants that soften the architecture and link it with the broader natural context.
